Mattress Sets for Kids & Teens

GotoMattress has recommended at this category several beds from different manufacturers that are great choices for a young child going from the crib to a their first bed. Sealy Posturepedic, Simmons, Englander, Serta, Tempur-pedic, and Stearns & Foster all have selections that would be appropriate.
 
We have recommended beds at the plush level or Pillow Top level that has the feel of a plush level bed.  We do not recommend a Pillow Top that is too soft.  Most young children at this age sleep in multiple sleep positions throughout  the night.  They will switch from the back position to the stomach position and the side position.  The plush level bed can accommodate most times all three sleeping positions allowing the child to grow with his or her bed for many years. 

Parents usually take one of two approaches in selecting the right mattress for their child. The first approach is selecting a mattress that will be changed after a short time for a larger size.  The second approach is selecting a bed that will last 10 years or longer and will grow with the child.  It is very important when considering a mattress for your child that it is both supportive and comfortable.  Their bodies are continually growing and changing and a good nights sleep is extremly important to their growth and well being.  We have listed mattresses from our different manufacturers that should be both affordable and appropriate for a young child to a young adult.
